Jun. 29th, 2009 11:16 pmLest anyone think I was fixated on bitching only about one pairing in one of my fandoms, just let me note a general rule of thumb:
If you have to trash a third character to make your OTP look more appealing in your stories, you need to stop and reassess your writing. Trust me, it's no more attractive for one pairing than it is for another, and having seen this in not just one 'ship but in more than one fandom, I'm fucking over it.
tl;dr - If your 'ship can't sail on its own merits, maybe it should sink. Or, at the very least, your stories should.
(Unlocked, because this should be a fucking PSA.)
