Drumming up business
Jun. 2nd, 2009 11:19 amI'm helping some friends drum up business for a project of theirs, InConJunction, a scifi/fantasy convention taking place in Indianapolis over the Fourth of July weekend. You can learn more at the website here.
There are many interesting guests, it looks like - and then me. LOL. I'm only there because they drafted me into helping with a few panels on the topics of "Pirates," "Erotica" (yeah, I've done het as well as slash; actually, in total fandom time of my life, I'd say I've done more het and gen together, than slash) and "Journalism and Blogs" (which I would presume would also have
beldar putting in his two cents as well). If I heard the name right, I think the "Pirates" panel also has the main guest, Michael Z. Williamson on it. He's a former bladesmith, and still repairs them part-time, so this should be fun. :-D
If you guys have any suggestions for things to bring up or talk about at any of these panels, comment here. I suspect the audience pretty much knows what they want to hear when they go to one of these, but you never know, there might be two minutes to have to fill ...
