Oh man! I was going through my journal looking for some unrelated post on travel photos I'd posted a year or two ago, and I came across my very first post ever on sparrabeth intent, which was a couple of months or so before DMC came out and I'd just seen the trailer.

You people who have been reading me since and before then - you gotta go see what you wrote in response to it. I think some of your comments may surprise a few of you from so long ago (and no, I don't mean that snidely or meanly - I mean, I'm amused by some of the changes in POV since then). ;-)

"DVD"-type commentary - "Contradictions: Freed" section

Several months ago, I offered to do a "DVD commentary" on something and day221b requested something from the J/W series I did in POTC, finished prior to DMC, "Contradictions." She wanted a couple of scenes, so I chose the shorter and more salacious - Jack's and Will's first kiss. The entire part of that story, "Freed," can be found here with all the appropriate disclaimers and suchlike.

Someone on my f-list pointed this out to me. HA! Gee, guess I'm not the only "delusional" one who thought the extremists in THAT camp were the ones causing all the fucking problems in fandom. (And I don't want to hear that any W/E 'shippers contributed, because frankly, they've been around for four years and didn't cause problems before last July with other 'shippers. I have to figure they were pushed, too.)

I'm gonna have a Sam Adams. It's like being released from the asylum because your shrink finally agrees you're not the problem. *G*

(And yes, I am likely sad and pathetic for this giving me a good laugh. But I takes 'em where I can gets 'em these days.)
