Yayness

Now I officially have a place to unload all this shit I'm having to pack and sled-dog to another state! The place is very much like where I live, in layout and management, and since I like where I live OK, that's a good thing. I'm in a one-bedroom with a small but usable bathroom; the new place is a two-bedroom with a large bathroom, a decent-sized kitchen, lots of closet space, and quite importantly, a side patio facing some woods back far enough from the road that I hope the cat won't get into traffic. The laundry room is closer, the front door is INSIDE a foyer instead of being exposed to weather, and the parking lot is closer to the front door than here, with NO STEPS. And it's only a $60 difference in rent from here.

The sister unit and I staked out a nearby city to find a place to go see AWE in May when she visits. Unfortunately, it's too far away to drink enough to withstand the midnight viewing and still be able to drive home safely afterwards. More importantly, I found more than one Best Buy where I can take my computer for service if need be ...
