Things I could write a book about
Dec. 4th, 2006 09:13 amIf I weren't so friggin' undisciplined and lazy and trying to work too many jobs at once. (This is why fandom's so easy - it's short bursts of attention, only, that are required to squee and bitch and hammer out half-coherent thoughts.)
1. The story I suggested to
metalkatt, purely fictional and humorous. We need to write some humorous stuff like we used to long ago, to make us feel better about life in general.
2. An idea
finding_neo had last year for a nonfiction book on fandom and women. (Yes, I kept those e-mails, believe it or not!)
3. My trip to Hong Kong five years ago. I took notes, I typed them all up, and I even padded out and added some color to the first few entries. Too. Lazy. Argh.
4. Growing up with my family, the "names changed to protect the innocent" version. They're not exceptionally weird, but there's a really strange humor dynamic at work there. I wrote down lots of notes on the subject, so it's not like I lack for information.
5. Various fictional setups I've come up with over the years and written down in bits and pieces.
Gee, with six months off work and enough money to pay bills and buy food, I could probably finish one of these ...
