To pretend that Will doesn't need love or sex or companionship as much as Elizabeth or Jack is not only disingenuous, it's insulting to the character and, frankly, to the character's fans - as though we're not bright enough to like someone more "complicated" or "adult." Will has a libido; he's just been smart enough to know if Elizabeth turned up pregnant before the wedding, HE'S the one who'd be facing the Wrath of Swann, not Elizabeth. This is what nobody seems to get. Maybe he'd actually like to get along with his father-in-law.

And yes, Will is made better for fighting his instincts to brood and feel sorry for himself and such. You wouldn't appreciate him quite so much if you didn't see flashes of it here and there. Otherwise, he'd just seem like a saint, and saints are no fun at all.
