You gotta see this ...

This is one of the neatest things I've seen from obvious POTC fans (don't we all wish we could move like this). Enjoy!

DUDETTE!!

But I didn't see Will? Where's Will? He's half my reason for loving Pirates so much (Okay, so he's a third of my--no, a fourth of my reason, along with Norrington and Jack--who is truly half my reason for loving it.;) Or is Will supposed to be the little kid? I'm confused. Delighted, but confused.;)

I'm as confused as you. It's possible the kid IS supposed to be Will, but I have no clue why it would've been set up that way. *shrug*

Don't make me think too hard! I just like to watch Jack move! :-P

Someone on another thread where I cross-posted this postulated the little kid is supposed to be Jack the monkey (which makes sense, since any human, even a young one, is easier to train to work around the dancers than is a monkey).

Yeah, Jack did move pretty amazingly, didn't he? The whole thing was wonderful but Jack, as usual, stole the show. Loved it. (I guess I could also ask where the rum is but that's just too obvious.:)

The rum is making an appearance in another youtube video that's a mock commercial for POTC cereal - the Jack Sparrow isn't a dead ringer for Johnny, but his voice is pretty good and his gestures are great. (If you're bored, just do a search for "pirates of the caribbean" on youtube and it pulls up a LOT of things - mostly multiple copies of the trailers, but also satire and music videos)

Oh nuts! when I clicked on the link, I got a message saying that they're working on that site. Poot.

You may be having problems because of dial-up. It's working now. When you click on it next, leave the window open and hide it, let it sit for a half-hour or so while it downloads - it's probably best if you're not surfing or chatting. Find something else to do, like eat dinner or watch TV. You'll like it, I promise.

that was wicked cool.

I love that theme, the one they used for all the fighting sequences. Curls my toes like star wars used to :)

You mean the one from the cave, right? I think of that as the "hero" theme and the other basso one is "Barbossa's theme." I don't care much for Barbossa's - not because he's "bad" but because there's just something about the composition of the music that bothers me.

lol.
that's the one I like. they played it a little bit toward the end of that video.
