Okay, maybe he wasn't a well-known actor by name, but if you're 20 or older chances are you saw or heard Lance LeGault on an old TV show or rerun from the latter half of the last century. Maybe best known as A-Team foe Col. Decker, Lance passed away earlier this week at his home.

About 10 years ago, some friends and I tried to organize a convention for England involving a reunion of the A-Team actors; my job was publicity, including making contact with the actors' publicists, and in a few cases, the actors themselves (the project fell through on funding as well as our limited experience doing such planning). Lance either didn't have a publicist or the person directed me to talk to the actor himself; I don't remember (this happens sometimes - I remember wanting to interview Christopher Lloyd once and his agent said Lloyd was on some bike tour and even HE didn't know where to reach him or he'd have me call him direct, LOL). Anyway, I spent the better part of an hour on the phone with Lance telling him our idea. I remember he seemed quite excited, and told me stories about his career and Elvis - I don't remember if I took notes somewhere, but I may look later to see. Anyway, he was very gracious and nice, and pretty funny to boot.

RIP, Colonel, sir.
