Because the people who bitch about others exercising it deserve the right to say so, too. Sort of how like the women who are against abortion have the freedom to exercise the choice NOT to have one.

One of my friends put up a post that was basically, "SOPA - meh. I have more important things to worry about." I did not respond because it's really not worth it with some people.

But yes, we need to defend our right to free speech. It's one thing I can't recall the Supreme Court ever being on the wrong side of - including the lawsuit involving Westboro Baptist Church.
