new TV show
Anyone else out there watching "American Horror Story" on FX? We're an episode behind (at least until tomorrow night), but I think so far my sister and I find it weirdly interesting.
(There's a dead guy in my icon. That's the closest I have to horror in my cache unless you count Liberal Jesus, I suppose.)
Speaking of horror, I am so glad I didn't care enough for the fourth POTC movie to buy the DVD; apparently, even if you spring for the Blu-Ray version, there are no deleted scenes - I hear you have to pony up for the 3D version to get those. Somebody at Disney's a pirate, but I don't think it's the people in the movie ......

We've noticed you don't get quite as much naked Dylan McDermott after the pilot, but it's still good.
Fortunately the spooky and interesting is keeping ahead of the cheesy, and hopefully they can keep it up at least through the season.

When I went to a preview screening they asked me if "It was the best Pirates movie ever?" When I politely said, "No." The PR people were stunned. Then they wanted to know why I felt that way.
Blackbeard wasn't scary.
Philip was bland.
I was still annoyed at all the character death in AWE. Specifically Will Turner and the Commodore.
"Oh, but you love Jack. We gave you Jack. It's the best pirates movie ever right?"
DO NOT EAT THE CUPCAKES!

While Jack was awesome, as was Barbossa. The J/W chemistry made the first three movie so much fun for me. Not to mention the double eye candy.
OTS wasn't my favorite by a long shot. It genuinely puzzled PR why I wasn't overwhelmingly supportive. But as far as they are concerned the franchise is all about Jack.
They don't think about "secondary" characters, that have a huge following.
