untitled furrowed brow post

I am troubled by the amount of argument and proposed legislation and policy I see in my own country these days, that seems to be fueled by fear or hatred. I can't justify the sheer energy it requires to loathe so much about something that doesn't matter, to the point of frittering away money and time and reputation on trying to change it, at the expense of ignoring factors that are the root causes of many genuine problems.

I agree. I'm tired of seeing legislation on controlling what we eat, smoke and what have you.

I don't have kids, but outlawing a Happy Meal if it doesn't make certain dietary restrictions is ridiculous. Parents be parents and just say no if you don't want your child to have it. Laws like this waste our money. It's also too much government control. On some levels I feel like our privacy is being taken away bit by bit.

I like the title of your untitled post. ;) And yeah, so true. And if politicians aren't in a position to make laws, they sit around and judge others because they believe they are so righteous.
