If you're my sister and her friend off to England this fall, apparently you don't have a chance to miss any, because you don't leave ANY of them behind. Heavy luggage, girls. ;-)

As for gadgets, I am taking the netbook (your sister can use it instead of lugging her laptop across the Pond), camera (considering two if I can get Nikon to fix the damn D90) and cell phone. The phone will be for quick and random calls (to people to let them know I'm there safe and birthdays) and photos where I don't feel like lugging out the camera, which won't be often.

I suppose there are phones that surf, email, take photos, play music etc and which are lighter, but I can't help imagining the eyestrain of watching a movie the size of a credit card and reading emails with letters the size of a pinhead.

I figured that buying the netbook and taking it with me for internet would likely be cheaper than using my iPhone for the tech crap.

She might have to leave the word 'Fall' at customs - they give you the word 'Autumn' in its place. But fret not - when you return to the US they reunite you with your quirky American terms ^__^

*salutes* Who is she? Would I recognise her author name?
If you stand at Heathrow with a big placard that reads "SMEG HEAD" you might actually get her attention. ;-)
Heh. I was planning on doing that when I meet up with another slasher later this year...
