I have never gotten fandom's (and society's) fascination with the private lives of famous people.

That's why I became a historian: so that it would be my job to know how many lovers Messalina had, or whether Suetonius had reliable sources.
I believe it's an ineradicable part of human nature. My colleagues tell me that there's even a famous person scandal story from ancient Egypt - mostly lost, now. And another colleague says that when ancient peoples didn't know enough smut about their rulers, they made up shit about the gods and heros.

Oh me too!!! It died and its my fault. That whole series of shows that Fox did? The fact that they died is all my fault. I loved them, therefore I killed them. The Crow: Stairway to Heaven, then Dark Angel, then Firefly - dead. Sigh.

My first thought was "Oh how nice!! I hope they're happy!" Then I clicked over and laughed myself silly, because Sam married Ruby. Hee hee!!! Didn't he kill her??? Oh no, wait. He held her while Dean killed her! XD
