Seen on fandomsecrets: A macro from someone in love with their brother. This thing got millions of comments. Overwhelmingly they are 99.9 percent "hey, don't let anyone tell you this is wrong, you can't help who you fall in love with."
WHAT.
I understand acceptance of things you wouldn't do that still aren't wrong (being gay, being poly, having a fondness for "watersports," etc.). But when did incest become okay? I don't mean legally - I mean socially, emotionally, and in any WAY comparable to those other things (which I don't think it is). Am I just behind?
ETA: I'm not talking about fictional incest 'ships (which I still don't understand, but it's FICTION, so, so what?) or even stepsiblings who share no blood relationship. I'm talking about blood siblings or half-siblings. THIS IS NOT ANCIENT EGYPT.
