No, really - Castro really resigned as Cuba's president??
This is what happens when I sleep.
As I was telling someone else, this is like saying Dick Clark isn't going to be part of New Year's Eve any longer. Granted, much like Ryan Seacrest coming in to replace Dick gradually, I can't imagine there'll be much change with Castro's brother (clocking in at a practically babyish 76 years old) taking over in his stead, but hey, you know, it's the principle of the thing. This guy was supposed to last FOREVER.
I admit I don't know whether to believe Castro was a total S.O.B. or whether that's the PR job America has done on him ... again, as someone pointed out, probably a bit of both. (In comparison, I can tell you what I think of Dubya and give you sound reasons for it, even though there are those who sing his praises for what I cannot discern are any good reasons.)

ainsoph15. If you're a Turrow fan, or even if you're just a Jack or an art fan, you have to go look at this.
(And on a REALLY annoying related note, what is UP with LJ not giving my comment notifications, dammit? I've noticed a bunch here and there that aren't getting to my mailbox, including a comment on a previous entry from this artist that I would never have seen if I hadn't scrolled back and clicked on that entry for some other reason. Is there any way to fix this at all?)
