Original fic

Just as a change of pace, something I wrote last year in a fit of pique one Sunday morning, pulled from a dream (and endless brain-playing of the song for which I named it) that wouldn't leave my mind until I set it down on paper.

It may not be the greatest thing in the world, but I would ask no ganking - this isn't fanfic and I would like to try to publish it for profit, if I can find a place I can con with enough bribery into printing it ...
