More video posting

This time we'll mix music with video. This is probably the best five minutes of movie anywhere. Really. (How many times did I watch this over and over again when I was 14??)

Then again, I was a geek as a teenager. But I suppose I'm a dorky adult, too. *G*

By the way, here's another song I loved from that movie, taking place shortly after the clip up top, at the very end:

And finally, the main music video from THE best movie ever made. Argue if you like; I haven't changed my mind in 21 years, even if there are finer movies. THIS is good writing, good filming, good acting, good discussion - EVERYTHING:

Good heavens! You're a Back to the Future fan! :O

[identity profile] moonspinner.livejournal.com 2007-11-05 07:33 am (UTC)(link)
and a Michael J Fox fan, too?!

Guilty on both counts ...

This comes as a massive surprise? LOL

Thought I was the only one. *g*

Nah. Mike was my first significant ICB (imaginary celebrity boyfriend, to steal from [livejournal.com profile] crevette, and that's because BTTF was so @#*(@#! awesome. (Plus, Bob Gale's from my home state. *G*)

;_; I wish I had known about this video's existance. I love Back to the Future. I thought Marty McFly was the coolest guy ever and I wanted (still want?) to be just like him. I think I might owe my current wardrobe of jeans and t-shirts on his red shirt/jeans combo.

When I was in junior high (when BTTF came out), I didn't go to the theater - I had no interest in the movie and didn't even see it until it was out on video about a year later (can you imagine if we had to wait that long for a DVD now? without Internet-pirated copies??) when my mother forced me to, LOL. I loved it immediately. Unfortunately, I saw only part of the music video before the video ever came out, and paid no attention - 'cause I wasn't interested. I never did see it again when I really wanted to, and it wasn't until the Internet that I ever got to see it again - well over a decade later.

When I was 14, I dressed like Marty for Halloween. *G* I looked like a normal kid, but I felt like I was dressed up! I even had a denim jacket like his that I wore everywhere and the calculator watch! (I thought I'd met my true love a couple of years later when I started dating a guy who also wore such a watch and wanted to be like Doc Brown. Fantasy's always better than reality! ROFL)

Yeah, as I said, I'm a dork. *G*

Huey Lewis's only claim to fame I might add.

He had some other good songs; I liked the band quite a bit when I was in high school and if I hear something of his even now I'll leave the radio on. *G* I always thought he was fairly low-key as rock singers go, but a solid talent for the time.

Of course, I love Back to the Future. (Even that middle one. Just a little.) And I love Huey Lewis. (Though I lost all his albums when I left home ages ago, one of the drawbacks of considering your siblings collection a part of your own. The little brat sold 'em all too - without giving me first option to buy! >:( )

Can't say I was wild about Teen Wolf, though I did see it in the theater (just because MJF was in it). The only thing I remember is the Bus(?) surfing and the embarrassing transformation in the closet(?). The closet bit being the best, because we all know "werewolf" stories are really tales of ferociously exploding teen sexuality. *pervs*

(And it's such a joy to be able to watch these in their running time. :D All three at once even. *loves on DSL* )

For me, BTTF2 is like POTC2 - necessary but not necessarily enjoyable. And yet, it's like a train wreck - if I happen to see it's on, I'll pause and watch. Aye carumba!

I need to find Teen Wolf on DVD, I think. I still have the videotape I got back in the 1980s!
