script, script, who's got a spoiler script?
To understand this, you have to have seen a spoiler script that's recently come out. If you haven't, let me know, I've got a copy.
Thoughts on fanfic if this is at least 95 percent true:
1. IF I WERE A WILLABETHER: I could work with this. It wouldn't be easy, there'd be a lot of loopholes I'd create, as a writer, but I could definitely work with what I've been given. Might be pretty good, actually.
2. IF I WERE A SPARRABETHER: I foresee a couple of possibilities that I could work with. They're not immediately apparent - I had to give it some thought. But I did come up with a couple.
3. IF I WERE A SPARRINGTON: I could work with what I've been given. Too easily, actually.
4. IF I WERE A WILLINGTON (and I am, part-time): I could also work with what I've been given. Probably easier than the Sparringtons, actually.
5. IF I WERE A TURROW (I bloody coined the term, so I *ought* to be): Well ... let's just say that if I CAN'T work with what I've been given, I don't deserve to live. My brain might as well be taken out now and donated to science. Because, I mean - shit. This is the easiest slash subtext, *if true*, I've ever "seen" onscreen that doesn't consist of an openly queer canon couple.
6. IF I WERE MOOG: Duhhhhh ....
7. IF I WERE BARBOSSABETH: Same loopholes you'd have to work with to get Sparrabeth. Really, anyone you want to put with Elizabeth, these are the loopholes you're gonna have to work through. Hell, she can even travel.
In conclusion? \If this script is true or almost true (and I really have my doubts, believe me), the future of 'ship fic has actually been leveled to an even keel again. Yee-HA. *G*

It seems to me that every pairing will have some interesting challenges to overcome, although the ones involving Norrington have rather a bigger one. Still, I can think of a retcon for that right off the top of my head, and it may be the same one you're thinking of when you say Willington might be easier than Sparrington.

The Turrow stuff is really, really too good to be true. I suspect this was written (or adjusted and posted by) the some of the guys in Disney's merchandising office. :-p
A lot of the stuff near the end seemed very shuffled/garbled/confused to me (maybe 'cause I'm rushed and tired, here lately), but I really liked Will's fate. I see it as a Turrow-rific possibility.
