script, script, who's got a spoiler script?

To understand this, you have to have seen a spoiler script that's recently come out. If you haven't, let me know, I've got a copy.

Thoughts on fanfic if this is at least 95 percent true:

1. IF I WERE A WILLABETHER: I could work with this. It wouldn't be easy, there'd be a lot of loopholes I'd create, as a writer, but I could definitely work with what I've been given. Might be pretty good, actually.

2. IF I WERE A SPARRABETHER: I foresee a couple of possibilities that I could work with. They're not immediately apparent - I had to give it some thought. But I did come up with a couple.

3. IF I WERE A SPARRINGTON: I could work with what I've been given. Too easily, actually.

4. IF I WERE A WILLINGTON (and I am, part-time): I could also work with what I've been given. Probably easier than the Sparringtons, actually.

5. IF I WERE A TURROW (I bloody coined the term, so I *ought* to be): Well ... let's just say that if I CAN'T work with what I've been given, I don't deserve to live. My brain might as well be taken out now and donated to science. Because, I mean - shit. This is the easiest slash subtext, *if true*, I've ever "seen" onscreen that doesn't consist of an openly queer canon couple.

6. IF I WERE MOOG: Duhhhhh ....

7. IF I WERE BARBOSSABETH: Same loopholes you'd have to work with to get Sparrabeth. Really, anyone you want to put with Elizabeth, these are the loopholes you're gonna have to work through. Hell, she can even travel.

In conclusion? \If this script is true or almost true (and I really have my doubts, believe me), the future of 'ship fic has actually been leveled to an even keel again. Yee-HA. *G*

Yes, the Willington was the one that leapt out at me (though that could just be because I'm obsessed with Norrington ;) )

[identity profile] veronica-rich.livejournal.com 2007-04-11 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
See my comment below. Is that how you were envisioning it too?

[identity profile] galadhir.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 01:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, though I have to say that the idea of Norrington as a member of Will's crew makes me grind my teeth with the 'oh how the mighty have fallen' vibes. I'll try to stop it while I've still got some enamel left ;)

[identity profile] erinya.livejournal.com 2007-04-11 11:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Never give up, never surrender. *grins* I've got my loopholes ready and waiting.

It seems to me that every pairing will have some interesting challenges to overcome, although the ones involving Norrington have rather a bigger one. Still, I can think of a retcon for that right off the top of my head, and it may be the same one you're thinking of when you say Willington might be easier than Sparrington.

[identity profile] veronica-rich.livejournal.com 2007-04-11 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Um ... if it involves a dead guy and the Grim Reaper, it just might. ;-)

[identity profile] erinya.livejournal.com 2007-04-11 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Something like that, yes.

[identity profile] gryphons-lair.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
This actually sounds like a spoiler script I'd *like* to see.

Please?

*scrounges about*

I don't seem to have an address?

[identity profile] gryphons-lair.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
Um, gryphons _ lair at livejournal dot com will do nicely.

[identity profile] mrs-norrington.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
I can't believe I'm asking for this, since I'm fairly certain that it will lead to disappointment...(I'm a staunch Clean!Unf@cked Up!Norrington lover.)

*hangs head* boston_tea_party1773@yahoo.com

Me too please.

[identity profile] veronica-rich.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 02:46 am (UTC)(link)
*nod* As I said, do keep in mind I am a Will fan ...

(Also, who knows how true this is? I just like some of the scenes *siiiiiigh*)

[identity profile] gryphons-lair.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
Turrow on a lordly platter, with abundant garnish, yes.

"I take it back"? How much closer to scratching the sub out of subtext can you get?

[identity profile] gryphons-lair.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 04:58 pm (UTC)(link)
That's about what it'd take to top this, yeah.

[identity profile] philosophercat.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 01:17 am (UTC)(link)

"IF I WERE MOOG" Mwahahahaha! *theyaresomarried*

The Turrow stuff is really, really too good to be true. I suspect this was written (or adjusted and posted by) the some of the guys in Disney's merchandising office. :-p

A lot of the stuff near the end seemed very shuffled/garbled/confused to me (maybe 'cause I'm rushed and tired, here lately), but I really liked Will's fate. I see it as a Turrow-rific possibility.

[identity profile] veronica-rich.livejournal.com 2007-04-12 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
The implied slash makes me a happy kid. (And yes, I can live with implied and not express. It's what we slashers do; it's what we've always done. And it's usually MUCH more fun than canon.)

*squints at avatar* Do I want to know?

I'm sure metalkatt has explained The Sims 2 to you. That's my Jack and Will. (And neither of 'em is a eunuch. I have pictures to prove it. :-p)

You must ask if I want a peek at this spoiler script? Puh-leaze! Especially if some of these possibilities could become realities. captsparrow4ever at yahoo dot com, as usual.

Alas I haven't read the script. May I have a copy? My email address is leia_naberrie@livejournal.com
