Congratulations! This was an extended but profoundly satisfying read. Your dialog is superb and well in character. Your Jack is exactly as I imagine him: well educated, but still a scoundrel with a heart of gold. I love Will's step-forward-and-take charge attitude ( especially when he wants to be Jack's second in the duel). Some favorite parts: Will referring to Jack as "Pontius Pirate" and a "deposed king." (So Jack!) The web you spin so skillfully between Jack and Will is quite lovely: the smooches in the library, the nudges under the table. There are so many good quotes. "I said I wanted tâ look challenged, not beat like some wet bitch,â Jack dryly retorted. made me laugh out loud! And the fine details are excellent, like when the butler is taking in Jack's appearance. Also, adding Jack's thoughts of Bill let us see how he is struggling with the thought of taking Will for himself. Damn it all, I'm so glad he did. Brava, my dear. *worships*
