crevette, here are some images from the Reagan years (actually Bush at this point - but Bush was running things during Reagan's years, anyway, too) from a typical shopping mall when I was a teenager.
Big hair! Cassettes! (CDs were a minority still at this point and DVDs were nowhere in existence) Huge cans of Aqua Net hair spray shoved down in your purse! Denim! God, the denim! Oh, the HUMANITY!
