Oh, "Die Hard." You are such a wonderful movie. Never get remade.

For the 1980s, it was remarkably unsexist. Sure, the terrorists try to use McClane's wife against him, but they don't get much of a chance to do so. She keeps a level head. And the whole plot revolves around her husband coming to visit HER in HER new city and HER new job, not her having to move for him. By the end, he realizes he's been an ass about her career and says as much to his new buddy, Al.

Besides, there's something pretty sexy about McClane kissing her after he rescues her, covered in blood and such. Even if it is disgusting. (I've also been known to like this imagery with the same-sex couples I write and read, so it's not a hero-damsel thing. *G*)

And as for Hans ... well, LONG before there was Snape, there was Hans "Happy Trails" Grueber, probably the nattiest terrorist to rob a corporation.
