Any author has the right to express their views on fanfic; I just think it's kind of stupid to see it as devaluing your creation, since the sincerest form of flattery is imitation. If fans aren't making money off of it - nay, if they're SPENDING money on yours and getting others interested enough to do it - why bitch?
