Next thing you know, hippies will be tossing flowers

Gee, how the world can change ... sparrabethers defending Will Turner in the snake pit, Hillary Clinton supporting Barack Obama for president, me winning an argument yesterday morning against a Bush supporter, and now Pat Buchanan fully denounces the Iraq invasion on "The Colbert Report?" (To be fair to Pat, he has been building to criticism of Bush for a long time.)

But I think the scariest tilt to my world by far is probably that my parents actually mostly now agree with my politics.

Consider me the opposite of my avatar in this case ...

I think I must need more coffee...

(I've been very annoyed by the is she/isn't she Hilary thing. It seems the press folks are very eager to be rid of her, and keep announcing that she's folded - as a way of gaining more support for Obama? But mostly I'm just waiting to see how it falls out. :-/)

I'm an Obama supporter - in the sense that of the three we're being offered, he's the least offensive to the rest of the world (and boy, do we need to mend fences!) and might actually have a few good ideas - but I'm not terribly invested in Hillary conceding. (Fortunately, I didn't get into the whole "sparrabeth/willabeth" dynamic of the Hillary/Obama fights, because I thought it was stupid. Real life deserves a better class of debate.) Personally, I think she looks kind of foolish the longer she goes on, if she's not going to flat-out challenge the Michigan-Florida allocations - but that's her right as a free adult over 18.
