What can Brown do for you?
Well, it sure as hell can't give me a cheap rate, that's for sure.
I have to travel to Louisville in December for a work conference, so I was checking the "web-only special" room rates for the Brown Hotel (yeah, I know I'm a geek - shut up, it's only half a mile from the conference). If these are the "specials," I suspect I'll be staying at the Marriott ... or the Super 8 ... or maybe a cardboard box on the street corner ...
Oh well, as long as I can get drunk and wander the lobby and hallways one of those nights, I guess I can handle the crushing disappointment of not being rich enough to sleep upstairs. (Hmm ... maybe I can get a bereavement discount, like the airlines, if I convince them I'm in town for a funeral. Have urn, will travel?)
