"It was the rare man Bill had ever met at sea, treated so favorably by her, who didn’t worship her in return."

By this point, I equate the sea with Calypso in PotC fic (even when I probably shouldn't :P). Does Calypso look favorably on Will? Or, in her case, a bit *too* favorably?

"“It’s from his wife.” She lifted her chin, one brow cocked, daring him to refuse again."

This must have been interesting for Elizabeth to arrange. Who is this old woman to her?

"Bill arched a brow. “I’m a bit late for that talk, I admit, but we can give it a go if you think you still need it,” he deadpanned."

Heeee...I'd really like to have seen how Bill would have given that talk, especially with the voice you give him here. Either to adult! Will or puberty! Will, which probably have very few differences between them. To Will's embarrassment at any age.

"Bill frowned. “Aren’t you happy?”"

Alright, I'm a sap. I'd like to see Will be happy about his child, even if it takes him a while, with good reason, in these circumstances.

"...you’ve got to see others around you up there. Mix a bit with the crew..."

Now THAT would be interesting. I wonder how much of thier former cruelty was a result of the curse or of thier own personality.

"...he fervently hoped the younger Turners would find a way around their curse..."

And this is as big a tease as "And what mark did he leave on you?" Sure, other fics have written this, but I'm not one for mixing up authors' universes. The "atmosphere" is never quite the same flavor.

Those were the moments that caught my attention.
